Delete Your Account

Request deletion of your Sortr Music account and all associated data.

What gets deleted

When we process your request, the following is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days:

  • Your account profile (name, email, phone if provided)
  • Your family group, including any child accounts you created
  • Your approval history and song approval lists
  • Your listening history and in-app activity
  • Your music service connections (Apple Music or Spotify OAuth tokens)
  • Your trusted-family network connections
  • Any device registrations tied to your account

Your music service subscription itself (Apple Music or Spotify) is not affected — those are managed by Apple or Spotify directly.

If you subscribed to Sortr Music through Apple or Google Play, your subscription will continue to bill until you cancel it through the App Store or Google Play Store. Cancel there before requesting deletion if you want billing to stop immediately.

What we keep

In limited cases we retain a minimal record (e.g., transaction logs required by payment processors, anonymized analytics that no longer identify you) to comply with legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations. None of this data identifies you personally after deletion.
